What You Know About Math? - Middle School

A parody of T.I.'s "What You Know About That" meant to entertain and inspire Pre-Algebra students.

(With mad props to the inspiration of TI-84 Ft. -E, the YouTube "What You Know About Math" originators!)

Lyrics...

What You Know About Math?

Aye..aye..aye..aye.
What you know about math? (x3)
What you know...

I represent BMS when I add, divide and subtract
Low-riding sack where I'm holdin' all my work at
What you know about math? (x3)
I know all about math

Answers 44, real easy, it's a sig fig
You got 45, you rounded high, your answer's too big
What you know about math? (x3)
Hey I know all about math

Got my calculator, new and clean, it's shining bright G
Extra paper, yo, cuz I gotta show my work, see

You know we multiply, while memorizing pi
Prime factor to the sky, be sure to simplify

Grab the utility, it's Algebra to me
Twenty questions on the test now, don't you go and cheat off me

Distance is rate times time, measured in a straight line
Exponents hecka fine, what's your score, can't beat mine

Equations balance right, same step on either side
Inverse operations -- get ya closer to the finish line

Use GEMDAS all the time, expressions simplify
If you use half your mind, then you can solve it every time

I can solve math problems with my SuperPowered math mind
Beating down equations like a Full Throttle Einstein
What you know about math? (x3)
I know all about math

There's some things you gotta know, to be a math pro
Time to drop some fundamental knowledge in you head bro
What you know about math? (x3)
Yo, I know all about math

An average is a mean, add together everything
Then divide by how many numbers - Measure Central Tendency

Exponents groups thing quick, product-power working slick
If base is 6, exponent 4, then 6 times 6 times 6 times 6

Take a circle, make a line, across the middle, touch each side
Diameter is what you've made, a radius is half that line

And if you take the dare, 'circ' area you can prepare
Three point one-four equals pi, so area is pi-r-squared

A circle's like a ring, Perimeter goes 'round the thing
I call him 'Sir-Cumference', C, he equals pi times d

Triangle's corner's square, hypotenuse across from there
Pythagoras he got it right, a-squared plus b-squared is c-squared

Roll up in the hood, mathematics makin' good sense
We'll be future rollas with math skills we'll do mad business
What you know about math? (x3)
Yo, I know all about math

Calculator's too slow, skills that make my brain grow
Work mad mathrobatics like a laser with a mojo
What you know about math? (x3)
Yo, I know all about math

You know about me dogg, they talk about me dogg
And if you doubt my product, check the work that's in my log

Those notes you take in class, they help you finish fast
My answer, it will last, I double-checked, it's clear as glass

And fractions are my friends, we been around the bend
I learned to decompose, and now I am the boss of them

Integers, you got to know, don't wanna bite ya bro
Battles and Teamwork, yo, add and watch those numbers grow

And when you must subtract, integers can seem so wack
But Add the Opposite and your mad skills will have your back

Some people playa hate, cuz I can calculate
About to graduate, Yo, I'm getting many dates

I represent BMS when I add, divide and subtract
Low-riding sack where I'm holdin' all my work at
What you know about math? (x3)
