1. What is Complore?

Complore is derived from com-(with,together) and explore-(search, research). As the name suggests, complore is a vision to connect people from diverse backgrounds, from traditional research areas such as the sciences and engineering to non-traditional fields such as theater and music, through collaboration and networking and provide them a common platform to collectively explore their areas of interest. Thus complore provides people to think and work as a team.


Complore also provides students, faculty, technical experts and outstanding scholars an opportunity to work in professional collaboration with each other with a stimulating level of scholarship, research, and intellectual engagement that immeasurably enriches their experience. It also provides a common space for students to consider and comment on each and every one’s research materials including their own. By exchanging and building upon each others' ideas, students are encouraged to work and learn together.

2. How to share content on Complore?

The various contents e.g. Lectures, Tutorial, Paper, Presentation etc. can be added by a registered user using Add link available on Complore.com. Each content form have certain fields marked by (*) which are mandatory (e.g. Title). The user can share content by uploading a file, providing a weblink or by writing a description. The other users can vote to the content.

3. How to Add your Bookmark?

You can bookmark internal pages as well as extenal links to Complore.com. To manually add a bookmark, use Add link on the top menu.

4. How to Add Tags?

A tag is just a label that you assign to an article in order to help you classify and organise your collection. The tags can be added to any content on Complore.com. The registered users can add the tags while creating the content using an add Tag field. More than one space separated tags can be added. The tag size is determined by the number of occurance of the tag on the various content pages.

5. How to Create Groups?

The groups/events can be added from the Create Group option in the top menu on the page. The groups can be viewed from the Latest content.

6. How to send a private message?

The private message can be send to any registered user through the 'send pivate message ' link on the user's profile.

7. How to restrict the content to specific community?

The content can be made public or restricted using a check box at the bottom of the content form. The user also has the option to make the content available to the user's group members.

8. How much data can I upload?

The every content form is provided with an option to upload a file with a maximum size of 1 mb at a time. The user can upload UNLIMITED amount of data. To restrict people from uploading malicious content, we have put restriction on type of content. Only the files with the extension : "jpg jpeg gif png txt html doc xls pdf ppt pps" are supported.

9. How can I report a bug/problem/abuse?

The bugs/problems including abuses can be reported at feedback at complore.com or through a feedback form.
